Chase’s place was exactly how it was described. It is right on the ocean overlooking lava rocks and a cliff. We saw all kinds of birds and we saw whales from the lanai two different days. A mother whale jumped completely out of the water and her baby, based on the example put on a show … priceless. The neighborhood is quiet and absolutely gorgeous. The neighborhood is also very walkable. My wife and I did many walks on our stay. Hilo is a short drive away. Chase was in contact with us for anything we needed; he is a super-host in the highest degree. We would definitely stay there again.

This was our second time staying at Chase’s Moana Sunrise Villa and our experience was just as amazing as the first time. The house is super clean, spacious and beautiful. We took advantage of all the amenities and had such a relaxing stay. Definitely looking forward to next time!

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was beautiful—secluded and peaceful, yet just a short, scenic drive to Hilo. The place was cozy, clean, and perfectly equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the sounds of nature at night. Chase was very responsive and made every effort to make our stay enjoyable.

My family and I came for a peaceful getaway and got exactly that and more. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the house and by how easy it was to cook in the kitchen. It had everything we needed and was very well organized. I especially loved the shared spaces because they were very comfortable and made it easy for my family and I to spend some quality time together; talking and laughing into the night. Our hosts were very accommodating to our needs and we are incredibly grateful for the kindness they showed us. This was a once in a lifetime trip that we will always cherish!

Due to my own poor planning, I did not have a place to stay. However, upon finding this breathtaking abode, I could not miss the chance to stay. Literally seeing the waves crashing against the lava flows and hearing the gentle sounds through the glass was an experience in itself. Amenities were top-notch, with coffee on tap, and a bed to rest, even for the grumpiest of light sleepers, all just window dressing to a one-of-a-kind home. Do not miss!

Chase is a very friendly host. He responded promptly to our needs and provided everything we needed. We spent a comfortable and enjoyable three-day vacation here. The property is located in a large residential community called Paradise Park, directly facing the ocean. It is an ideal place to stay for visitors exploring the east coast of the Big Island, including Volcano National Park and Mauna Kea.

Stayed a couple of nights here. What a beautiful location - we loved the ocean view from inside the house, balcony, or down on the rocks below. Great spot for pictures! Also managed to spot a couple of whales in the distance on our last day there. We visited Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park, which was a short trip, and Hilo was not too far away if we needed any food supplies. Chase’s home is spacious; we had what we needed to prepare a good meal, and overall, we were comfortable. We appreciate his quick responses and willingness to help us out with making our stay a pleasant one.

My party of 10 greatly enjoyed the home. The house is spacious for spending time as a group and the bedrooms were large enough we didn't feel cramped. The house was clean, organized, well stocked with daily consumable (paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc.) and the host provided more than enough items in the kitchen for us to cook a few meals. The neighborhood was quiet and slightly out-of-the-way, which is exactly what we wanted. Viewing the sunrise from the small beach about 1/2 mile from the house, was a great way to begin our days on the island. Overall, a great experience.

This was a great place to stay! When I come back to the big island I will be staying here. The space is big but still cozy. Kitchen is well stocked. And it’s a great area that is secluded but still not too far from Hilo.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this place had been decorated with love and care for the details. The privacy here is a real treasure. We had our own space to fully unwind, with the sound of the waves right in front of the property creating the most meditative backdrop. The host thought of everything. Beach and snorkeling gear were available for guests. Practical touches like a washer/dryer and AC in every room made the stay genuinely comfortable, not just pretty. The place is close to Volcano National Park, and we got the witness the 42nd eruption of Kīlauea!
